Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays.
This year I have so much gratitude in my heart.
I had the magnificent opportunity to share my voice on a platform created by I-ASC.
SpellX is a way for nonspeaking, minimally speaking, and unreliably speaking individuals who spell and type to communicate to share their insights with the world.
It was presented spanning six different time zones making SpellX a worldwide event.
I had the distinct honor of presenting this year.
It was surreal.
I saw my mentors.
I witnessed next generation spellers.
So incredibly powerful it was to experience.
My piece was a tribute to my school.
Hirsch is my second home.
It is where my silence was broken.
Thank you Hirsch teachers past and present.
Thank you Spellers.
I see you.
I hear you.
I am proud to walk beside you.
To my Mom I love you more than spelled words can express.
I want to send out heartfelt gratitude to Hirsch’s Head of School - Shelley Carnes.
Your vision is glorious.
Keep moving forward.
No looking back.
My Hirsch coach – Susan Lisenby — with you, I soar.
I want to shout out my Johnson Ferry Shine buddy - Theresa – your encouragement and love give me hope — so much hope.
And to my Johnson Ferry Magic Master — Austin Smith — Videographer Extraordinaire --- I want to thank you for hearing my voice in this journey. You took my ideas and with your skillset – it was more than I imagined.
It was beautiful.
I share my presentation with you now.
It is my soul revealed.
