Thankful

November is typically a month where we pause and reflect upon our many blessings. How incredible would it be to always give thanks and be truly grateful for what we have? It feels amazing to share a few of mine with you now.

I am thankful for loving parents who love me unconditionally. Having their support is indescribable.

I am thankful for my Mom especially. For she must always have it together for all of us. My Mom is superhuman. Her smile is radiant like sunshine on my face. She is quiet strength personified. I could write my entire piece about her.

I am thankful for my brother, Will. He has my heart and is my best friend. He inspires me to go the distance and never stop working towards my goals of being independent. His life is not like mine; however, our hearts are linked together forever.

I am thankful for my Grandma Helen. She is often a light in the midnight sky. When I feel there is little hope, her words lift me up and give me faith in tomorrow. I am thankful for her amazing messages pointing me to God.

God is so magnificent. I am thankful He has my back. The storms of life try to defeat me at times. He is with me. Never letting me down. Never forsaking me.

I am thankful for my life with spelling to communicate. I was lost...now I am heard. My voice matters. So incredibly grateful to my Hirsch community for bringing my letterboard into my life.

Really have so much to be thankful for.

I am thankful for my indescribable sensory system. My awesome hearing allows me to experience sounds in stereo. Birds each have unique calls. The wind - quiet but whistles a marvelous tune. Rain always invites me in. Its pitter patter like music to my ears. Waves crashing on the shore like coming home again and again.

I am thankful for my hardships for they make me stronger.

I am thankful for each and every day. For each moment is an opportunity to love, to grow, to make this world better than the day before.

What are you thankful for?
